On May 17, 2008, Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove his third 3 Doors Down car in the Sprint All-Star Race at Lowe's Motor Speedway. The car was painted in homage to Buddy Baker's famous "Gray Ghost" car from 1980. The Citizen Soldier car, as it is popularly called, is meant to promote the song done to honor the troops in the National Guard. Now you can be part of the celebration wearing this limited edition t-shirt. The black tee has a silver National Guard logo on the chest, with the Citizen Soldier title on top of and slightly below it. The five members of the band are pictured above the logo, with Dale Jr.'s signature in their center. The 3 Doors Down logo is centered on the bottom. The back features the #88 Citizen Soldier Chevy Impala in the lower center, with the band members above and behind. The National Guard logo is ghosted behind the band at the top, and an attack helicopter flies in the upper left corner. Dale Jr.'s signature and the 3 Doors Down logo are found in the lower right corner. All images are in black and white, with limited use of red and yellow for emphasis. This shirt is the only one that primarily promotes the band over Earnhardt Jr.
