Product Description
"Rann Kala" - This is a Fair Trade product, handmade by artisans in Kutch region, located on the edge of the great salt desert - the "Rann", in Gujarat, India. The fine handwork is done by a unique collective of rural women from 130 villages. The organization focuses on issues of socio-economic development & empowerment of women. This region has been affected by massive earthquake destruction and this art has survived the reconstruction process, keeping the artisans bonded together.
